How The Ravelco Anti-Theft System Works
The Ravelco base unit is installed in or underneath your dash. It can be completely hidden or installed on the dash to make it easier to access. The wires in the back of the unit are protected by a metal conduit, and that conduit is ran into the engine bay. Once there, the wires are connected to various electrical components your engine needs to run (such as the ignition, starter, fuel injection system, fuel pump, engine sensors, etc.). We give the owner the ability to prevent the flow of electricity to those systems by pulling the unique plug out of the Ravelco base unit.
Why The Ravelco Is So Effective
Underneath the dash the wires behind the Ravelco base unit are protected with steel, so thieves can’t get access to them.
Even if they did, all the wires are black and it becomes a guessing game even for the most persistent thief. The biggest enemy of a car thief is time, and the Ravelco stops them right in their track…before they can take your car or truck.
If the thieves decide to try testing each of the 16 pins in the Ravelco plug, they will not get far. With each installation being done in a different way, there is no telling if the key circuits are positive, negative, data, or a combination of those. With multiple grounds and failsafes built into the installation, there still haven’t been any stolen vehicles protected by the Ravelco.

There are no master plugs for the Ravelco. You can be assured that only your plug will work on your car. With more than 100,000 possible combinations for the Ravelco Anti-Theft System, the specific physical signature of your vehicle’s plug cannot be guessed.
The base unit is installed in your vehicle, either bracket mounted under the dash, flush mounted in the dash, or concealed from view. When you leave your car, you remove the plug from the Ravelco base unit and attach it to your key chain. Without the plug, electricity cannot flow to key vehicle components which are necessary to start your vehicle. There is no power drawn from the car’s battery, and no need to replace any type of batteries like in conventional security systems.
The Ravelco is 100% Effective and 100% Reliable. It is not enough for an anti-theft system to just be 100% effective in preventing thieves from hot wiring your vehicle. You also need the peace of mind that comes from knowing that each and every time you insert the Ravelco plug, the vehicle will start reliably, ensuring that technology designed to prevent theft does not inadvertently prevent operation of your vehicle. The Ravelco Works With Other Security Systems
The Ravelco does not interfere with other alarms or tracking systems installed in your vehicle. No other system is affected by the installation and use of the Ravelco. The wires used by the Ravelco are entirely different from any other systems. We make our connections underneath the engine compartment while other systems connect under the dash. For owners who want to have multiple layers of protection, an alarm, anti-theft system, and/or a tracking system, the Ravelco is the perfect fit.

We had one of our cranes stolen. My corporate office researched many different theft prevention options. We have about 20 pieces of equipment form large dump trucks, delivery fork-lift truck, excavation equipment and many pickup trucks. After the theft of two pieces of equipment we contacted Ravelco in Miami to install their protection system to a few vehicles. The installation was done quickly with a turnaround time of about 1-1/2 hrs each and it did not interrupt our work schedules. The wires are neatly routed and one would not know they installed anything except for the security caps. This security system has saved our Bobcat excavator and several pickup trucks and larger delivery trucks. I had to order a few security caps over the last 5 years and it was a very easy process.
